Speedy Scandal


Speedy Scandal is a 2008 South Korean comedy film written and directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol and starring Cha Tae-hyun (My Sassy Girl, Oh my Ghost) in the lead role. The movie was released in South Korea on  December 2008 and topped the box office on its opening weekend with 473,725 admissions. It continued to chart well finishing with over 8 million tickets sold becoming the highest grossing Korean film of 2008.

Moments of Love is a 2006 Filipino romance film directed by Mark Reyes, and released as a summer offering by GMA Films. It is a classic romantic tale between two people from different timelines. The film stars Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado and Karylle. It was nominated and awarded a Certificate of Excellence in the 2006 New York Festival Film and Video Awards.

Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines Official Entries


The Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines (MMFF-P) is the annual film festival held in Manila. The festival, which runs from the 25th of December to the first week of January, focuses on locally-produced films.The MMFF was established in the year 1975, during which Diligin Mo ng Hamog ang Uhaw na Lupa (Water the Thirsty Earth with Fog) by Augusto Buenaventura won the best film award.During the course of the festival, no foreign movies are shown across the Philippines (except for 3D theaters and IMAX theaters). Moreover, only films approved by the jurors of the MMFF will be shown. One of the festival highlights is the parade of floats during the opening of the festival. The floats, each one representing a movie entry for the festival, parade down Roxas Boulevard, while the stars for films ride on them. On the awards night, the Best Float award is also announced, together with the major acting awards.

It was commercially released in the United States by Freestyle Releasing on May 2012, making it the third Filipino film distributed internationally by an American film studio after Genghis Khan (released by United Artists in 1953)and Small Voices (starring Alesandra de Rossi released by Warner Bros. in 2002).
